Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, TikTok, Twitter… Platforms have not run out of innovative ideas this summer. And these new features will have a very quick impact on the way we interact with brands on a daily basis.
Instagram removing the Swipe Up feature from stories
The “Swipe Up” feature used in Instagram Stories will be replaced in September by a customizable sticker.
The platform points out that this new feature will “streamline the Story creation experience” and provide better “creative control.” This evolution intends to better address the users’ needs and should be kept available only to people with more than 10,000 followers.
TikTok developing its own tool native for creating augmented reality filters
The platform may soon allow designers and developers to create their own augmented reality filters on the social network.
Already available for early birds on the “Effect House” website, the TikTok Effect Studio is a tool that allows the platform to meet the growing demand of brands, who are eager to offer more interactivity and creativity to users. Combined with the integrated shopping features, this could enable the social network to become the essential part of any digital strategy. Note that access to the beta version is currently restricted to certain countries and to experienced creators in the matter.
The platform has not yet announced a launch date.
